I started giving Beth dressage lessons on Echo at her farm in 2020. She quickly became less of a student and more of a friend. In fact, I think there were lessons where I learned more from her about nutrition and training than I was able to teach her! She was always giving me gifts. She would say something like "I saw this and it made me think of you." Or "I know you wanted ..." Lunge lines, tea, supplements, horse treats... They were always so thoughtful and sweet. My favorite is a framed copy of the poem shared on this page that she had made for my husband and I for our wedding. Both of our horses ended up in the vet school at the same time in 2022. She kept sending me texts asking if I needed anything like she didn't already have her own horse to worry about. Beth was always putting others before herself and was so generous with her time and knowledge. Fly high, Beth!!! |
