Umbilical hernias are quite common,just like a hole on the muscle wall and creates a "bubble" with the skin;is created when the mom pulls too hard or cuts umbilical cord to close to belly;it will seal eventually,unless there is something ,like an intestine potruding,then you should push it in,and consult a vet for minimal surgery,but this hardly if at all,ever happens.........About the bitting:some dogs are more "mouthers" than others,,just hold his snout and say no,and put a chew toy/bone in his mouth..also remember he is teething,so some bitting is normal .....On potty training:most of my puppies when sold,are potty trained within the first weekend,it's just consistency.You have to spend 1 full day taking him out ,at least,every time he is making those circles,and praise him a lot when he does it outside.
