Hi, you may xray now and see what she's got. Females, since their hips have to expand to give birth are usually loose and have a good or fair rating.
Many vets do xrays these early and start scaring people about the hips on the dog;at 6 months her body is forming, adjusting and this early she can show not perfect hips ( this is the reason why the OFA will not certify hips xrays until they are at least 2 years old )
At this age you can get a preliminary, which it can give you an idea, but nothing final.
If you are not going to breed her, and going to spay her, then why subject her to radiation and to the untrained hands of many vets/vet techs ( start pulling and out stretching the legs, which will definitely cause problems ).
I do not agree with neuter/spaying as it changes the instinct of the dog....many doctors out there will tell you that she will get cancer if you don't, and that is a lie..you don't know for a fact she will get cancer....
If you do decide to spay her, then do it asap, and before her first heat ( is a major surgery, the whole uterus is taken out, stitches, and antibiotics will follow, many times they will bite the stitches off, be vigilant ) |
