Hello~
Thanks to you all, I was able to send in the information needed to Jackson County Circuit Courts in Missouri. (I'm trying to locate my father's birth parents' family) My father died in October of 2009. I was shocked to learn that his birth mother is still living. (Dad was born in 1937) Because of this, the courts are unable to release any identifying information directly to me. They said a "searcher" could be involved and information would be released to them.
Can you please advise me on how to choose and retain a searcher. Does the court have to approve the agency or individual?
I'm excited to move forward, but would like to have advice from you before doing so!
