In looking for information on my mother, Esther Bonser Higginson (adoptive surname) in Denver Public Library, many years ago, I ran across a front page story, Denver Post, 2 Jun 1908, on a female child left on doorstep. I attempted to run down the fate of the child, and was ultimately told that the child had died. I asked for proof, death certificate, place of burial, but never was told.
