My maternal grandmother was adopted as an infant. She was told that she was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on 28 Aug 1914. Her adoptive parents were, Jay Allen Maclaren and Edna (Bertha) Adams. We don't know much about the circumstances of the adoption and we don't know if what we've been told is true.

My mother is aging and quite ill. She's asked me to try and find her mother's biological family. It could be her last wish. Is there help and hope here for us? I don't know where to turn. Should I fill out a form for G's adoption registry or is this adoption too old?
