Hi,
I'm searching for my half-sister born May 1941. Not sure if she was born in Anson County or Buncombe County, N.C. She was adopted by a Eula Williams and named by her as Suzanne Williams. I found a made-up birth certificate in the Courthouse in Ashville, NC. It had ILLEGIMATE scrawled in pen across it. How Humiliating! The name given for baby was
Mattie Lee Hough (which was my mother's sisters name!) Her adopted mother wrote letters and sent pictures to my Mama--then as time went on--less contact.
My sister should be 10 years older than me-around 74 years old.
I have constantly thought about her. She needs to know medical information for her own well-being!
My Mama died of a broken heart!
Please assist any information that you may know of regarding Suzanne or her whereabouts. One of the letters had a stamp mark of Greensboro, N.C.
