""We are grateful to Governor Malloy and lawmakers for passing the law that restored a right that once existed in Connecticut and helping to end discrimination against many adoptees," said Karen Caffrey, President of Access Connecticut. “Access Connecticut hopes that with ongoing public education and awareness, legislators will extend the adoptee rights law to all Connecticut adoptees in the 2016 legislative session. In the meantime, we wanted to celebrate and publicize the new law and present original birth certificates to several adoptees who are eligible to receive their original birth certificates under the new law.”
