My name is Emily Meoli and I have very little information. My brother Stephen and I are biological siblings; he was born August 19th 1993 and adopted by our adoptive parents David and Jeanette from New York. At my birth mothers 6 week check up she found out she was pregnant again (With me) and managed to request the adoption agency- place me with my brother (into our adopted family). I was born June 21st 1994. Stephen and I were born in West Palm Beach FL (I believe) and we were adopted through Chosen Children’s Adoption agency in Palm Beach County Florida. I have been searching for answers and need assistance with my quest. I know very few stories told to me by my adoptive parents so I am not 100% sure they are true: That my birth father was a contractor (Or construction worker) and was injured before my brother was born, both our parents were in their early-mid twenties and that we are mainly Italian and possibly part Irish I was also told that “Possibly I was born in West Palm beach hospital and Stephen in Good Samaritan hospital. I also have found two pictures that may be helpful, one is of the case-worker (Possibly Sherry Mayhew?) handing me to my parents at the adoption agency and one is of me being legally adopted in court (So I believe) and in this picture there is the judges name plate and a man in a suit along side my adoptive family- I assume he is a attorney. There are a few names I found written down on some papers I found with my parents adoption information but have not been able to make sense of it yet. Another random thing is that when I was younger my parents told me the “adoption agency” called me “Summer” until they picked me up so I am not sure if that was my birth name or if they gave me a nick name. Lastly, I have mailed in my registration forms for NY, ISSR, and FARR and am awaiting my non-ID info. I have signed up and posted on many reunion-registry websites but not having any information makes the online search very tough. I do not have my original birth certificate or birth name. I’ve been hoping to find my birth family for as long as I can remember so any help or advice given to me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
