Have you and the birth mother put waivers on file with New York State Registry ? Also post on all the on-line registries. How did she know the adoptive name is David ?
Is she certain the dob is correct ?
If you know what city the adoptive parents lived in or near, check libraries for old newspapers. It was common for local papers to print lists of babies born and/or adopted and you can check for that date and babies named David.
You can also run personal ads in local papers and post on Facebook. You can use on-line databases to run a list of males named David born on 9/14/1949 and check those is Walton or surrounding towns. There is a David L. Johnston born on that dob in Walton so that is a start.
You should also do DNA through Ancestry and the other sites. |
