I have searching for my biological father since last year but have not yet received a positive match. I have had numerous people with the same name but different birth dates, different middle names and even different military position. My question is how do I get a positive match with my father with all the variables I have come up with?
I do have an Aunt that is one definite match but I don't have any information on her other than who she is. I can't match her with any person in the Edward Williams I am searching for.The only person close would be a Step Aunt, but the name is not the same. My brothers step sister is Mary Ruth Oakes Williams but the Aunt that show up is Mary Myrla Williams.
I had requested information from the National Archives and the National Archives "War Babe" department to search for my father being in the service. The NA didn't have any records of my father and the NA/WB sent me information but it was not the information I was given. His middle name was different, service department was different and his birthdate was different.Too many variables and too much confusion, can someone direct me in the right direction? I am at a stand still.
Thank you.
