I am assisting Joyce as she is hearing impaired and has difficulty putting into words even what is read.
We do know now that her mother arrived in the states in 1959 at age 21. So she was not likely in high school in 1959 in the area.
Is your daughter in law of Japanese ancestry? If so, maybe the match can be made.

I also have an acquaintance in Oregon who has been working on this.
Be interested to know if your daughter in law is of course of Japanese ancestry. We did find out who Joyce's father was and he is deceased. The relatives on GED match are a cousin and a half brother.
