Hi Tracey, I dated a Fusco from Union County in the early 80's. I graduated in 83, he was a year or 2 older then me. His dads family was pretty big from what I remember. I went to a bar b-q, I can't recall where they were located and if it's possible you're related to him. They were very Italian, came here from Sicily.
I see you ordered your original birth certificate. The state also gives whatever history they have at the time of birth. I wonder why you didn't get it. Here are links to what's available.

Birth parents don't have to do anything if they do not wish to redact the birth record, according to Bennett's announcement. However, if a birth parent has not requested any information be redacted, an adoptee will receive a copy of their original birth certificate with all information recorded at the time of their birth. Redaction requests will not be accepted after December 31.
