Thanks for responding. I was trying to find more info on the bio parents (or mom in this case as she is the only one listed on the birth cert). The child is actually my spouse; he was just trying to find more info out. We are just uncertain as to how/where to proceed. We've tried searching various places online, but the mom has such a 'common' name that we are hitting dead ends everywhere. His cert states mom was born in Maryland, which I believe has closed records, so that is no help either. He did request his birth record from the Salvation Army, but we have yet to receive that. I think that entailes just his info though, nothing about the mom. The adoption was done through Catholic Charities, so there is another dead end as well.
