Hi, if you are an adoptee and signed up with the RI state registry, please keep them updated. I have had a sibling who learned about a sibling who was relinquished for adoption. You may not know about other siblings, but they can sign up and you will be required to be contacted by the state. If the state doesn't have your current address and a way to contact you, they won't reunite you.
So if in the past and we have over 30 listed on our database alone, and you have not kept RI state updated, please do so.
Please feel free to cut and paste this message on any RI sites and areas of fb or where ever we might reach those that signed up, and haven't updated the state. This sibling is heartbroken that the state is powerless to find the sister. In this case there are many siblings and family just waiting to meet you.
