My great grandmother's name was either Mabel Mary Dunn or Mary Mabel Dunn. She was born in 1897 in Ohio. She had a younger sister, possibly May Dunn, born in 1900. Her mother (name unknown) died shortly after the birth of her sister, and their father sent them to an orphanage in either Pennsylvania or West Virginia. I'm desperately trying to find out more information about where she was born, and the name of her mother. Her father's name was either Edward Albert Dunn or Albert Edward Dunn. I cannot locate his death records anywhere, and he did not stay in touch with his daughters. If anyone knows the best place to begin searching for information, I would greatly appreciate any guidance. I did find a 1900 Census record that may include my great grandmother. The entry lists an Albert E Dunn (29) and Mary S Dunn (24), a Mabel M Dunn (3) and May G Dunn (4 months) at 521 Egbert Street, Franklin, PA.
