I forgot to tell you that when I filled out the NYS adoption form I was told they didn't have any record. My family was against my search so I think someone had my records destroyed. My father told me once that there was no record of my daughter's birth (1965]. I WAS TOLD WHEN I SEARCHED THAT THERE HAD BEEN A FIRE IN THE FILE CABINET and that year was not available! I gave up on help from the state and turned to Ancestry and other DNA sites.
