My family fostered a number of newborn babies from the Talbot Perkins adoption agency in Queens, New York, in the 1960s. I would love to find a set of twins named Missy and Mindy who we cared for from birth until age 13 months. I believe they were born in 1965 or 1966 and were adopted to a family in Queens. They were like sisters to my brothers and me and it was very painful for all of us when they were adopted. We want them to know how loved they were. I have photos I would like to share. My mom always loved babies. When her brother died tragically in the 60s she decided to care for foster babies to help take her mind off her loss. She shared her love with about a dozen babies. My mom is still living at 92 and it would make her very happy to know these babies grew up well. |
