My Grandfather Edwin Everett Chamberlain was born at the Hart Mansion probably back in the mid to early 1800's. My mother is Alice Dewing Chamberlain Reasoner. My Mom was born & raised in the S.F. Bay Area & now resides in Washington. We have been told that Grandpa Everett's dad was the postmaster general in Pacific Grove sometime in the 1700-1800's. We would like to authenticate this and truley treasure the Monterey peninsula for several reasons. My wife's 50's birthday is coming up in September and we would love to dine there in honor of my grand & great grandfather for this event or for our 30th wedding anniversary in October. If you have any family information that may "tie us in" it would be so gratefully appreciated.
