The Radkes were my great grandparents. They are both deceased, with Georgiana lasting until about 5 years ago, dying months before her 90th birthday. Their daughter Joan, is also deceased, but their son, Steve, is still alive and lives in Orange County, CA.
Joan was my grandmother and mother of my own mother, Storm. Referring to the end of the history of the antique castle: "[Who are the Storms? Did they run the candie Castle? Lucie went to school with the granddaughter of the Storms]." The Storms were not a family (unless that is a strange coincidence). I am guessing that Lucie went to school with my mom, Storm, who was the granddaughter of the Radkes.
She is still alive and lives in Marin County. She tells me fond memories growing up in a "castle" and as part of a candy shop. |
