Rmankty, the company you are thinking of is Basler Turbo Coversions. They rebuild DC-3's but they turn them into PT-6 turbine powered BT-67s. They do not "restore" DC-3s.

There is another newer company in the pacific northwest Aerometal International that specializes in restorations of WW-II vintage aircraft
