On December 21,1951 an airliner left Chicago's Midway airport headed for Newark N.J.. At around 8 a.m.the plane crash landed after becoming lost and running out of fuil.
The plane came down in a farmer's field with it's landing gear up, in the snow with no loss of life.
The plane is reported to have been a C-46,by the news papers of the day.
My question is could the plane have been a DC-3? |
