Attached and below you will find the handsome trophies that were awarded today at our successful 5th Fort Hawkins Benefit Open Car Show! Our continued success each year is due to these fine awards & registration amenities, the historic ambiance of Cherry & Third Street, the hospitality from most of the downtown merchants and of course the FHC Volunteers, and most importantly the hard work and dedication of Grady & Echo Burrell! They and there dedicated team of Lynn, Pete, Lucia, Judy and John are the hardest working members of the FHC - not only devoting countless hours of planning and preparation, but also - who else works so hard in the heat from 6 in the morning to nearly 6 at night for Fort Hawkins! They are to be commended highly for their devotion to the Car Show and to Fort Hawkins. Thanks to all of our Sponsors & Donors (30+) who contributed to the show's success with our absolutlely greatest goodie bag ever (w/20 items!), door prizes, and financial assistance and more thanks to all that contributed their time today - especially Pete's sister Tricia, Kitty's daughter Kacy and the Vietnam Veterans. We had thousands of lucky and delighted visitors, 229 registered vehicles of so many amazing makes, shapes, colors and class and 15 vendors particpated in the Park along with several downtown merchants (who support and thank us for the car show each year!) Lisa has 100+ outstanding photos of the event that will become a condensed photo album for you to enjoy and WMAZ Ch 13 covered the event very nicely as you will see.
