Greetings! I am sorry for the late 'initial' posting on this blog. I was not aware that it had been activated until recently. In the case that pastor's blog changes, another format will replace this one.
I am reminded of hope this time of year. As spring comes, and we have the opportunity to see creation burst all around us, it is a reminder that decay and death are not eternal. In the dead of winter it seems impossible that the dreary colors and landscape will give way to new growth. But, suddenly, trees bud and bloom, flowers shoot up from the ground, and insects appear instantly.
When we lay a loved one to rest, we can be assured that decay and death for a follower of Jesus are not eternal. New life in Christ sees beyond the temporary state of death. Where is the sting in death when we know that beauty, life and eternity are but an instant away?
Enjoy the spring, and contemplate eternal life in Christ Jesus. |
