The Eggs & Kegs team was undefeated and after receiving a first round bye on Sunday, beat Tommy Joe's, to make it to the Elite 8 of the B division. They were to play Jersey Shore Elite, who had just knocked off Gold Coast Cadillac but the rains came and washed out the rest of the tournament.
E&K should get strong consideration as B Division champs, as being one of 6-7 undefeated teams and giving up just 20 goals (as a tournament tiebreaker)against. The team was 18 guys who were all rising college sophomores - 15 based out of Ohio and with three strong college team mates from Georgetown and Denver. A real feel good story. |
