This is nutty. During the first half of 2008 I finally sat down and wrote the novel of tour stories that've been rattling around in my head from my time seeing Phish from 1994-2004. I condensed a bunch of my favorite tour stories and set them during the 2000 Phish summer tour. The novel is called "The Diary of Bobby Steiner." I wrote it under the psuedonym William Traveler and you can get it on Amazon. I'm acually really glad I waited for 4 years before I sat down and wrote any of my stories down into a narrative- my perspective on those times have changed in a way I think is reflected by the nature of this documentary film project. I hope it's very successful! I think that's something that's lost in the cyber world of modern phish fandom- it wasn't just the music- the music was just the siren song we could hear so clearly- but it was the people too- the people who could hear the song.
