Does anyone know if there are any spruance class ships left, mothballed or other wise?
I found out yesterday that the Paul Foster, is a test ship for the Navy..They put on different weapons systems on her for testing...
From what I have heards the ship is manned by around 50 personnel both Navy,civilian and contractors..A far cry from the 300 plus that we use to have..The ship is equipped with full remote control..They actually take off all the people while the ship is at sea and can run it and it's systems by remote control from a secure location somewhere inland...Too cool... |
