So here it is 2017 and no one will read this except may be Randy Perry. Hard to believe how old we all are getting but for some of us are way past the over on the betting line, so WE keep on chugging ahead.

We had huge sports news last year as the City of CLE won a championship and almost two. Happy for the Cavs and the city for finally breaking the jinx and the Tribe well almost. I do believe in the greater good though and much more benefit was obtained by a Cubs victory. I was good either way.

I went to a memorial for my dear friend Mark Griffin this summer. I will simply say this that Mark was to me the funniest person on the planet and a great loyal friend growing up. An underachiever like many of us--Know he is cracking them up on his next journey and hoping it is on a big stage as that is where he belonged.

My life rolls on and this last year was a good one. I travel a lot and continue to dabble in writing though my discipline and confidence is lacking. Chicago is a great city and all are welcome to stop and say hi as we have plenty of room.

As always, I highly reccomend everyone continue to explore and live now. Jump in and have some fun --be a little selfish and splurge. Keep active and be kind and generous with your time and your cash.

Our world today is much like it was when we were in High School but we are no longer naive and living in that giant Bay City bubble. Do not live in fear and allow anger hate and resentment to permeate your soul and hurt your heart.

You know this is not dress rehearsal and i share this story. a few years back , I was at the craps table in local casino and one of the regulars came in and bought a much higher than normal amount of chips. The dice crew commented on his large buy in and he said," Yeah, I decided that I wasn't going to leave it all to the kids--give me a $100 hard eight." I knew what he meant and think of that often. I hear people buying annuities that kick in at 85 and planning for their $$ at 95?? It's pretty confusing to me as I know how I feel now and am blessed to have the energy and desire to live and explore now.

For you know where I want to be if for some absurd reason that I make it to 90. I want to be broke and living at the Knickerbocker. Thats right, ruling the roost at the Knickerbocker and I hope a couple of you are there to laugh at my jokes. Redman
