Short History: Hello, I am the proud owner of a Rockola Princess 1493 (belonged to my Grandfather) it was once in fine working condition. 4 years ago it suffered a fall during a move, the title glass was shattered and the dome glass badly damaged the selector was pushed through the machine. I am determined to see her work again.
20 years ago a gentleman came by our home and cleaned the selector. I should have watched the gentleman do it. Once he cleaned the selector everything else seemed to work. Hopefully that is the case? How would I go about safely cleaning the selector? Is it okay if I accidentally push the pins in?
It powers on, the amplifier works, the selector will find the desired selected letter and number but once found it shuts off and the record is not selected nor does it play.The idler wheel spins but the turntable does not.
I think need a copy of the troubleshooting guide/manual Are they available? I would appreciate any help at all.
