Let’s try starting new. With the machine OFF, feel the two circles of pins on the drum and reset any open pins to off. Be sure and check the hidden pins under the receiver that turns. With all those pins off and the and the SCAN/OFF/OPER switch in the OFF position, nothing should turn. When you move the switch to the OPER position, the record drum should make one turn and stop. The selector drum has a device on both sides. the one on the left is the selector that moves the selected pin to open. The one on the right picks the record to pull and place on the turntable. Which one keeps turning? That will give some direction on where to look for the problem. Also, does the control box, to the right of the amplifier, have a metal cover on it? |
