I recently picked up a Oscar schmidt Autoharp in very nice condition for $20.00 with the paperwork and picks included.
I do not even know how to play a Autoharp, but I believe with the help of my fianse bonnie who plays acoustic guitar who is also quite excited over this beautiful and unique find, that I can learn how to play this "funny looking guitar".
It's a beautiful Autoharp...And I could not think of letting it sit in the store it was in and gather dust.
The model number is OS21C
The serial number is 881041
Musical instruments are to be appreciated, and more importantly to be played.
Unfortunately,it didn't come with a tuning wrench.
And it needs tuning awfully bad.
I called 3-4 places to find out if they carry a tuning key,
and they all answered no.
But my fianse Bonnie suggested to me to call my neighbor and friend Marty Mandelbaum who lives across the street from me who happens to play piano/keyboards professionally.
-Thinking that he has a key to tune a piano which might fit
a Autoharp which has square peg tuning as well.
Marty called back and suggested that I contact you.
So....I am asking..Do you have a spare autoharp key knocking around in your cupboards that you could possibly part with real cheap?
Maybe I could even ask you if you could show me how to do it,or do it for me even?
I hope I am not asking too much.
I would be very much appreciative if you contact me back
at my phone number-248-543-9068 or thru my email:
magworks7@comcast.net and give me some good news,or atleast point me to someone who can help me in my plight.
Respectfully: Michael Gerstein. |
