If my code path is correct the requirements for posting elevator certificates was part of BOCA 3005.4. I am told that this was considered an administrative issue and it was not included in the IBC elevator section. I am unaware of any requirements in the A.17.1 regarding certificates.The Virginia Maintenance Code, PM 606.1, does give requirements for posting / availability of certification of inspection. Whether that is considered requiring a "certificate" or whether the inspection / test reports kept in the "building operators office" meets this requirement is up for debate.In Henrico Co. our County Ordinances require us to issue an Annual Certificate of Compliance and it is to be posted in the elevator or kept at the location. |
