Talking about intellectual honesty. According to intellectual honesty there is no proof whatsoever that JC ever was resurrected, not even when you believe in the reports of the NT, because even in your NT there is NOT ONE SINGLE WITNESS OF HIS RESURRECTION. Oh, but he appeared to his disciples. So tell me please; how come that nobody recognized him? Look in Luke 24:13-35, this speaks about the men traveling toward Emmaus. Jesus appeared to them but they did not recognize him.
Look in John 20:14; "Saying this she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her: Woman why are you weeping? Whom do you seek? Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, etc." She thought that Jesus was the gardener….
John 21:7; "just as the day was breaking Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them …." And only later they realized that it was Jesus.
Isn't it weird that they did not recognize a person with whom they had been so close after just 2 or 3 days? But the NT gives the answer for these strange phenomena, look in Marc 16:12-13, here is also spoken about the men going to Emmaus: "After this he appeared IN ANOTHER FORM to two of them …" So it was a person in another form than Jesus, that’s why they did not recognize him.
A person 'in another form' than Jesus, who is not recognized by the people he was so close with for years, only days before. Doesn't this sound like an imposter pretending to be the resurrected Jesus? According to intellectual honesty, what is more likely; some disciples snatching his body and some person with a few self-inflicted wounds on hand and feet pretending to be the resurrected Jesus, or a man rising from the dead?
This also explains why some of the disciples doubted when 'Jesus' appeared to them. Matthew 28:17; "And when they saw him they worshipped him, but some doubted." Can you imagine this? The resurrected Jesus appears to you and you still doubt?
Can you please explain to me, if the disciples who saw the 'resurrected Jesus' themselves still doubted, how come that you 2000 year later don't doubt?
