I'm at work right now and cannot go into great detail. But after reading your last two postings, I am reminded of Charles Welch's discussion of the word "world" in Eph. 1:4 which is the greek "cosmos". This he said is the word in the Old Testament "hosts" which were heavenly but lost their position in the rebellion of Lucifer. His discussion goes beyond implying but actually stating that this group which lost its position is replaced by the "heavenly" members being called out today (since Acts 28:28). The argument is a good one. Will look at it again and try to add more later. If you are familiar with the argument, then how does it fit in the full picture? |
