I urge all people to take a good look at how many Christians are mislead by poor translations of the Bible. How replacing of words, removal of words, removal or replacement of passages have tainted the words of God. It is no wonder that Christians contend against one another, because of these many versions of the Bible. See below at these versions on one verse, Hebrews 6:2

Hebrews 6:2

New International Version
instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

New American Standard Bible
of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.

The Message
baptismal instructions; laying on of hands; resurrection of the dead; eternal judgment.

Amplified Bible
With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.]

New Living Translation
You don't need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

English Standard Version
and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Worldwide English (New Testament)
We must not go back to teaching about baptizing people in water, about putting hands on people's heads, about people being raised from death, and about people being judged for ever

Do you see the difference between the Bible versions? Taking any one of them, separate from the other and it would be more difficult to know what they are speaking about. How one is not the same as the other, speaking not of the same "doctrine" of God, causing directions to occur that create false interpretations.

Why more difficult?

It is because these authors of these versions have altered the core truth of the Bible, by inserting their own interpretation. This is to say, that they have diminished the truths within the Bible by making it as an interpretation of Man, not of God.

Look at the version that holds more truth, the King James Version, and read what it says in Hebrews 6:2

King James
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

The key word removed by all the other versions listed is the word "doctrine".

Doctrine of God is the same as his law, is rules, his only way. Compare that to the impressions and ideas that come from the word "instructions" which inherently includes the idea of "change". All instruction, to mankind, is taken and exercised as something that can be altered, modified due to circumstances. The word "Doctrine" inherently denotes a set format, way and a form of a command.

How we have seen man alter the doctrines of God to suit himself (man). When we are to forsake the ways of the natural man and take upon ourselves the doctrines of God, not just his instructions, but his doctrines. There is a distinct difference.

The King James shows that Baptism holds two forms, that of the water and that of the Spirit. Jesus Christ made this very clear in John 3:5 (King James Version).

This is why it was said in Hebrews 6:2, that it was a doctrine of baptisms, which is still "one" baptism", where the word "one" refers to God's way, being the only way, which is by his doctrine and authority, and by no other way devised by man. The word "one" does not divide God's doctrine. No man has the power to divide the Doctrines of God, not even his prophet.

Yet we see that many contend with God's word, caused and promoted (one of many reasons), by poor translations of the Bible. The removal of a key word has lead many to false interpretations and many to ignore and unrighteously divide God's doctrine.
