Subject: 324 messianic prophecies
Dear Eliyahu,
I know how much you hate the Authorized Version of the Bible since you say, among other things, the following.
You say on your Web Site:
'Check the modern day translations which are not so much biased towards the Christian theology as the KJV.'
The KJV is what I am going to be quoting from, however, as it is the ONLY version today that’s been taken from the Textus Receptus. Plus, it was used by the 54 men of Oxford who were the ONLY translators honest enough to put into italics the words that were not actually in the original text. Furthermore, it does not have a “copyright” as all of the other versions have that you refer to, which are all just designed for making the publishing companies more and more money.
First, let me ask you this. Where has your God been for the last two thousand years? Has he been on a long journey or has he been asleep and needs awakening (1 Kings 18:27)?
My Bible says:
“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission” (Heb 9:22 KJV).
Oh! I know...you say on your Web Site that neither the Jews nor anyone else needs a sacrifice today to have their sins forgiven just so long as they repent and turn back to God’s law. Allow me to just point this out to you, friend. This is something you should already know from your own Bible.
The Old Testament says:
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” (Lev 17:11 KJV).
How have the Jewish people had atonement for the Jewish people’s souls during the last two millenniums? If there is no blood that you can claim that’s been shed for almost two thousand years now then you certainly can't say that you have atonement for your soul, can you?
You say on your Web Site:
'To begin with, the animal sacrifices are not abolished. The Jewish people are not able to perform the laws pertaining to the animal sacrifices now, because we are not allowed to sacrifice here and there and everywhere, but only on the altar in the Temple courtyard. This restriction is commanded in the Torah: "If any man of the house of Israel kills an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or kills it outside the camp, and does not bring it to the door of the tent of meeting, to offer it as a gift to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, bloodguilt shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.”'
The fact is you could go back to offering animal sacrifices TODAY in a “tabernacle” just the way that the children of Israel did it in the “wilderness” if you only had priests today. The reason why you can't offer any animal sacrifices is NOT because of the “Dome of the Rock” being in the way either. The Jews can't offer animal sacrifices today because they don't have any “PRIESTHOOD” and that’s the bottom line. And the reason why the Jewish people don't have any "priesthood" today is because the Lord fixed it so that the Jews don't have all of their ancestral records in order to prove who are all the true sons of Aaron and who are all the true sons of Levi today. That’s your problem! Titus and his Roman soldiers destroyed and burned up all of the ancestral records belonging to the descendants of the children of Israel when the temple was destroyed way back in A. D. 70. If the Jewish people had all of those records today then they could go back to offering animal sacrifices - at once!
What do you say about the following passages of scripture?
“Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
“Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God” (Hosea 1:8-9 KJV).
Isn't it true that when Israel is Lo-ammi, they are NOT God’s people according to this passage? How can you claim to lead the nations today when you are not God’s people in this age?
Furthermore, the Bible says the following in the little book of Hosea.
“For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
“Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days” (Hos 3:4-5 KJV).
When did the children of Israel abide many days "without a king," and "without a prince," and "without a sacrifice” etc. while at the same time being called by God “Not My people” and God saying to them, “I will not be your God”? Does the time frame of Israel not being God's people not conclude with the “latter days” according to the prophet? Did the prophet not say that “AFTERWARD” (that is AFTER Israel is not God’s people) that the children of Israel would return and seek the Lord and His goodness in the “LATTER DAYS”? That means that the Jews are "NOT [God’s] people” and He is "not your God" all the way up until the “latter days” of which the scripture foretold of, which explains the last two thousand years by the way! This was the reason our Lord cursed the fig tree, which you so adamantly accuse Him of being out of line in so doing. He knew through His foreknowledge that the wrath of God would come upon the Jews to the uttermost but He still gave them a chance to repent for 33 years after His death during the book of Acts. You are a witness against yourself that if you'd been living back in our Lord's day, you would have condemned Him to death the way your fathers did. You yourself said that Jesus deserved to die.
Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again the third day (1 Cor. 15:1-4). This is your only means of forgiveness today! It’s not in you keeping the law, which never was intended to save anyone anyway. Why not take the time to honestly give both testaments a good read before being so quick to condemn others?
“What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
“But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
“Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
“As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed” (Rom 9:30-33 KJV).
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!
