That IS my point. There is no historical evidence that any Christian assembly of believers did not practice water baptism in one form or another in the early history of the church. Both mid and Acts 28 Dispensationalists claim Paul taught water baptism was no longer necessary for believers. If that were true, which it isn't, then we should find SOME? historical evidence of churches who didn't practice water baptism, after the death of Paul. But none can be found. Quite the contrary. BOTH water baptism and the Lord's Supper were observed by ALL Christian churches after the demise of the apostles. |
