Joyce,
I failed to realize that I needed to provide a scripture for everything that I said, for you. There are some things that I have studied with several teachers of the word of God, rightly divided, that I now take for general fact, or knowledge, like we just know that the national anthem in the USA is The Star Spangled Banner. I apologize.

I believe that you are in error about there being two mysteries. I also see no "dispensation of the mystery" in Paul's gospel. I see the dispensation of the grace of God in verse 2.

You wrote " (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship (dispensation - same word as in verse 2) of the mystery, which hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ".

Fellowship here is not the same word (dispensation) as used in verse 2. In verse 2, for "dispensation", the Greek "oikonomia", meaning "administration" is used, and plainly understood. In verse 9, for "fellowship", the Greek "koinonia", meaning "partnership" is used, and also plainly understood in the context of its use.

If such a basic principle here is misunderstood by you, I have a hard time delving any deeper into what you are trying to say, and absolutely no disrespect is intended here. But just your misunderstanding of the words used here renders moot your entire paragraph about Ephesians 9:

"One more point might be helpful. Eph. 3:9 tells us that the dispensation [FELLOWSHIP, NOT DISPENSATION] of the mystery had been hid in God. Those who take this mystery to be the mystery of Christ interpret verse 9 to say that the meaning of the mystery had been hid in God. That is to say, they know that the mystery of Christ had been a matter of Old Testament prophecy but that the meaning had been hid from the twelve. But every word in the Bible is inspired by God. Eph. 3:9 does not say that it is the meaning that had been hid, it says that the mystery had been hid. In short, the phrase "hid in God" means that the mystery itself was hid, not the meaning of the mystery."

This mystery that Paul speaks of is the mystery which had been hidden in God, since before the foundation of the world, and has more than one part. The fellowship of the mystery is the fellowship that both Jews and Gentiles have in Christ jointly, in one body. It is in THIS dispensation (of the grace of God) that God is no respecter of persons. During the dispensation of the Law, this was not true. Even with the followers of Christ (the 12 apostles) that were with Christ before Paul came on the scene, after Peter told the others that God had cleared the way for the Gentiles to receive salvation, it was ALWAYS to the Jew FIRST, then to the Gentile.

I would highly recommend that you obtain a copy of a book entitled "The Plot". It is the result of a 25 year study of God's word, rightly divided, by a brilliant pastor and man of God named Bob Enyart. It clears up many points in scripture, and addresses so many issues in scripture WITH scripture.
