Hi,
I sprained my ankle 3 months ago quite badly where I was unable to put much weight on it for several days. At the time I had an xray which showed that nothing was broken. I have recently had am ultrasound which also showed nothing.
It has slowely gotten better though there is still some swelling and pain occasionally. My main problem is that I can no longer flex (point) my foot as much as I used to. I have been seeing a physio for 4 weeks which initially got it from only flexing a 1/4 of the way (compared to my good ankle) to just over 1/2 way. However it is no longer getting any better. My physio is able to get more mobility when he works on it but the next day it is back to where it was originally.
My physio is stumped and is considering sending me to a specialist, possibly to get an endoscopy done. Could this simply be due to scar tissue that needs to be slowely broken down? |
