 Subject: 2nd toe both feet "asleep"

It's been more than a year now when I woke in the morning to discover that the 2nd toe on both my feet were "asleep" and they have remained "asleep" ever since. I have no other symptoms; no pain, no tingling, no redness. These toes have always been just slightly longer than the big toes. What could possibly be causing this condition and what can be done about it?
