I had bunion surgery (big and little toe) on my right foot in 3/06. When discussing continued discomfort of my little toe, my podiatrist admitted that she got it "a little tight but at least it's not overlapping the 4th toe" .... (there is more than a finger depth between the bottom of my toe and the ground -- it does not ever touch the ground and protruds upward) ... Ever since my surgery, I have had considerable pain under the little toe area (on the underside and outside area), particularly when walking bare footed. Lately the pain has become more severe and is quite tender even when touching the area. I've tried orthotics - which make it bearable with shoes, pads and wrapping the area - but nothing seems to help the pain when walking bare footed such as around the house.
Any suggestions?
Thank you. |
