Over the last 3 months I have had a dull, yet constant pain in the joint of my first metatarsil, recently it has begun to intensify...bending my big toe while walking is painful, and it seems that the more pressure that is on it..the more it hurts. The area of pain is kinda localized to the lateral portion of the joint. After looking at xrays taken of the area my doctor stated that my sesamoid bones had shifted slightly and my first metatarsil was bent slightly outward. He then went with a diagnosis of capsulitis??? I have been taking anti-inflammatory pills for 2 weeks as well as rubbing the area with cream...has not helped. Does this sound like capsulitis?? There is no swelling, redness or anything. |
