On 6/10/07 I was in a motorcycle accident with my husband. I broke my left femur in 3 places and had a rod put in my leg to fix it. That seems to be healing well. But my foot is not. I dislocated my big toe and the joint came thru the skin, I broke the next 2 toes over kinda down in the foot, I had stitches under all my toes due to sever cuts, and I had a sever cut along the bottom of my foot that required about 17 staples. Now 2and a half months later I am walking with a cain, I have regained most of the feeling in my foot, and I feel like I am making good progress. But I have some conceers about my foot. I still have a large (size of a fifty cent piece) open wound in the arch of my foot due to a blood blister that was on the edge of my staples, and my foot still turns a blueish red, tingles, and fells swollen if I have my foot down for more than a few minutes. I do not have to keep it elevated above my heart but must keep it off the ground. What can I do to help this go away.
