I started about 10 years ago with heal spurs, and went to a pediatrist and did get custom orthodics made which gradually made my knees and hees hurt. I discared them and have tried every commercial product out there:
Feather Springs
Iso Arch
Heel Pain Inc.
Z coil shoes
Birckenstocks
Every Dr. Sholl product imaginable
Good feet arch supports
and the list goes on and on.
I finally found a great Podiatrist and he did also make some more orthodics to no avail. I got the plantar fasciatis surgery and had the ligament partially cut to get relief.
He made me a new pair of orthodics and again I'm back to square one and keep trying 3rd party gimmicks with no success.
I saw him yesterday and looks like there is a new procedure out where they pull the plantar ligament apart and it only takes about 5 minutes. This is a great doctor voted in Las Vegas as one if not the best podiatrist in town.
I'm having pain in my heel after a days work where I walk at least 5 miles a day and the following morning are painful to say the least. Exteme heel pain, lateral burning and pain, metatarsal pain you name it and it hurts and about a 7 out of 10 on the pain scale.
I am the sole provider in my houshold and cannot afford to quit my job. Currently I take lortab 10/500 about 5x a day, Soma, Motrin 800, and xanax to ease the nerve pain. I don't know what has happened over the past 6 months but the pain has set on 10x what I have ever had and I'm desperate and I am in great hands with my doc, but I'm always open to others and I hope this forum helps.
I was thinking about getting birkenstocks new shoe that they have put out recently but they are pricey 250.00 about the same a good pair of orthodics.
I don't know anymore I'm turning into a pill popper and can't stand it anymore. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
