Hi!

I have been bedridden for a year, and have also had a hard time being able to eat. For that reason, I have lost over 100 lbs, and a tremendous amount of muscle.

Lately, it has been painful to walk on the back half of my both of my feet, as it feels that when I place my heel all the way down, that there is a bone that runs parallel with my foot, in the middle of the second half of my foot, that is 'protruding', and that I am seemingly 'landing' on and 'rocking' left and right on. (Whew, that's a long sentence.) It's exactly in the middle of the back half of the underside of my foot, as if it's a bone located midway between the back of the heel and the arch of the foot. It is also midway between the left side of the foot and the right side of the foot. When I step down on it, it is as if I am stepping on a portion of a finger bone in there, about the size of knuckle to knuckle, and it runs lengthwise. When it makes contact with the floor, it is as if I 'rock' on it, and I can literally hear the sound of it rocking off kilter. Is this possible? It is painful, but I just can't picture what it might be. I feel strongly that it has to do with severe weight loss and muscle loss, but is it possible for that to affect the heel and area in front of it?

I am so grateful to be able to ask about it! Just knowing what's happening often goes farther than anything else to alliviate the pain!

Thank you so much for being there! I appreciate it so!

Happy day to you!
