Hello!

My husband had surgery for neuroma and hammer toe, both done on the toe next to his little toe. In the month since then, he developed a sore on his little toe, near the joint. Now this little toe is the big problem.
It could be, the dressing on the bigger toe irritated his litle toe? The sore was raw and white. The doctor told my husband to put Neosporin on it and bandage the toe, then soak his foot in Epson salts once a day. The doc also put my husband on oral antibiotics for a couple weeks.
The sore on the little toe became more and more painful. Last visit at the doc's, he cut into the sore with a scapel and shredded the sore, a very painful procedure. Now Panafil is used to dress the wound.
What should we do? My husband is in great pain and can hardly walk. The sore on his little toe is now about twice as big, with a red line around it.
Thank you for your help.
