Three years ago, just after the birth of my last child, I developed a pain in my left foot from the big toe down the length of the foot whenever I would extend the foot . (e.g. when I would kneel with the top of my foot flat against the floor)
After extending and stretching the foot repeatedly, the pain went away, but it left the big toe partially numb. In addition, the toe hurts like *$%#*@ if I bump it on something and the joint at the base of the toe is enlarged.
Occasionally there's burning in the ball of the foot, although if I take care not to pronate when I walk it goes away.
The foot doesn't have the appearance of a bunion and the symptoms don't match any other conditions I've read about.
Does anyone has idea what could be causing this? |
