One of my SELRES Second Classes reported to active duty the week after receiving his regular eval on 15 MAR. An extension correspondence letter was drafted to change the 'To:' Date in Block 15 of his eval from 15 MAR to the date he reported to the NOSC on active duty 3 days later. I am wondering now if this is acceptable since he was ranked in a summary group which contained 5 other Second Classes. Will a correspondence letter that extends the dates of his eval work or is a separate letter needed that just explains the brief gap in dates? I want to make sure he keeps his ranked eval.
