Stay engaged with your ACC 105 Sailors. The mentality in the Fleet is that Sailors get 2 periods of limited duty by default....NOT TRUE. While the local MTF can approve 2 periods (6 months increments) for enlisted, if a Sailors has a disabiling injury/illness, then they should has a medical board referred to the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) immediately; bypassing limited duty all together. Limited duty does not stop a directed separations/HYT/FLTRES/not being WWA, etc so attempting to get placed on limited duty (LIMDU) will not help.
