Hi! I am collecting a few pieces of MarCrest and using it at my woodland cabin. I started when I saw one of the beer steins and remembered from my childhood, it was the mug we set at his place at the table every evening, with his Pepsi in it.
Looking on your site, other sites, eBay, Replacements, etc. and I am puzzled about something. My mother's favourite Pepsi mug was also MarCrest, and it's not here anywhere! She had a round mug, shorter than the beer stein but much bigger than the coffee mugs and soup mug shown on your site and elsewhere. It was somewhat similar in shape to the round pitcher, although the roundness started much lower down whereas the pitcher is angled outward and only rounds up in the top third of the pitcher. This mug was round all the way.
I'm surprised that I don't see it anywhere. Was it THAT rare?
They are both still around (lucky me!) so I am going to ask them about it when I phone them tomorrow. They live far away from me so I can't go rummage through their belongings to try to find it! :)
